  • Agency for Workforce Innovation / Division of Early Learning Mission: To ensure that all children are emotionally, physically, socially and intellectually ready to enter school and ready to learn, fully recognizing the crucial role of parents as their child’s first teacher.  

  • APPLE (Accredited Professional Preschool Learning Environment) Accredited Professional Preschool Learning Environment (APPLE) is a voluntary national accreditation program. In the state of Florida, programs must be a member of the Florida Association for Child Care Management in order to receive this as a member benefit.

  • Association of Early Learning Coalitions Provides links to the 31 early learning coalitions in Florida. Educates the general public on early childhood issues. Houses a statewide calendar of events.

  • Child Care Aware Child Care Aware is a non-profit initiative committed to helping parents find the best information on locating quality child care and child care resources in their community. We do this by raising visibility for local child care resource and referral agencies nationwide, and by connecting parents with the local agencies best equipped to serve their needs.

  • FACCM (Florida Association for Child Care Management) F.A.C.C.M. is committed to the development and implementation of programs, techniques and strategies, which improve the quality and affordability of early childhood education. F.A.C.C.M. is unique in that it functions from the perspective of the owner or management of the child care facility .The organization is committed to advocacy in the legislature of the state of Florida for child care related issues and employs their own lobbyist. F.A.C.C.M also administers the national A.P.P.L.E Accreditation program for licensed child care programs.

  • Florida Kid Care Florida KidCare is our state’s children’s health insurance program for uninsured children under age 19. It is made up of four parts: MediKids, Healthy Kids, the Children’s Medical Services (CMS) Network for children with special health care needs, and Medicaid for children.

  • IACET (International Association of Continuing Education and Training) The International Association for Continuing Education and Training is a non-profit association dedicated to quality continuing education and training programs. IACET authorizes education providers that meet strict continuing education guidelines created in 1968. IACET certification is the standard learners seek for quality. IACET’s Criteria and Guidelines are the core of thousands of educational programs worldwide.  

  • National Afterschool Association (National School Age Care Alliance) The National School-Age Care Alliance promotes national standards of quality after school child care, and grants accreditation to programs that meet these standards.

  • National Association for the Education of Young Children Provides resources and information to promote excellence in early childhood education.  

  • The Nation’s Network of Child Care Resource & Referral The national network of more than 850 child care resource and referral centers.  

  • North Florida Workforce Development Board North Florida Workforce Development Board brings together businesses, elected officials, educators and other collaborative partners, to build and enhance a workforce to meet the needs of a demand driven economy. The board represents Hamilton, Jefferson, Lafayette, Madison, Suwannee and Taylor Counties, and is a part of Workforce Florida, Inc.

  • T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® Scholarship Program The T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® Scholarship Program provides scholarships for child care / early learning teachers and directors for educational costs to obtain a Child Development Associate credential or state equivalency certificate, Director’s Credential or an Associate degree in early childhood at  a community college.
